Sweet 16!!

Sweet 16 and never been kissed (so he says)!! I can't believe Cammon is 16! I'm sure he was a baby just yesterday....anyway still no driver's license, but hopefully that will be coming soon. Instead he got a "Giant" mountain bike. He wanted an ice cream cake from DQ so that's what we got and it was mmmmm....delicious!
Cam wanted to go to "Speed Street" for his birthday activity. It's an indoors race track. It was super fun. All the kids got in on the action, except Spencer who was too short. We kept feeding him quarters and he played "Pole Position" out in the lobby the whole time--not quite as fun as the real thing but it had to do.

Ben's Broken Toe

So I haven't posted anything for over a year, but now that Grammie & Papa T. are in Pittsburgh, I'm going to be better!! So our excitement for last week was that Benny dropped a bar stool on his toe and broke it (meaning the toe, not the bar stool!). OUCH!! Now, he will be in a boot for the next few weeks and, worst news of all, NO SOCCER this fall. Anyone who knows Benny knows that this is a tragedy!
This is Benny waiting at the Dr.'s office to see what they say...

Gross! This is day 3. The worst was day 2, and now it is looking much, much better. Get well soon Benny, so you can get back to soccer!

What Happens in Vegas...

So last weekend my sisters, mom and I headed to St. George for our annual girls' trip. I don't think we stopped talking the whole time, I actually had a sore throat by the end of the trip! It was way too fun. We went to Vegas to see a show, and then shopped till we dropped (literally). I'm so lucky to have such a fun family. Thanks girls, love ya!

Terry Fator. If you haven't seen him you should. He is amazing!

My lovely mom and lovely sisters!

Spring Break

For Spring Break this year we were lucky enough to take a trip to San Diego. The first day of our trip was Easter Sunday so we visited the San Diego Temple. Beautiful! What a great way to start a vacation. Cam, Aubree and Cammon got to go back another day and do some baptisms. It was Aubree's first time since she just turned 12. It was a great experience for her!

Disneyland

We were gonna stick to San Diego, but we got free tickets to Disneyland, so why not? We got the kids up at 6 am, left at 6:30, and didn't get back home until 11:30 that night. I don't know if I've ever been so exhausted in my life! It was a rainy-ish day, so there were no crowds and we got to ride everything several times. Spencer had a perma-grin on his face. His favorite was Splash Mountain. He crowed with delight every time we went down that giant hill. It was so cute.

The new Buzz Lightyear ride where you get to shoot lasers and defeat the evil Emperor Zurg. Very cool!

Ya gotta take a picture by the whale, don't ya? Why can't my kids ever smile? They think they have to pull faces every time.

Tide Pools

One morning at low tide we went out to some tide pools to see what we could find. There were tons of little crabs, sea anemones and sea snails. And lots of surfers too! This was a beautiful but more rocky area of beach and a beautiful day.

USS Midway

We spent a very interesting afternoon aboard the USS Midway, a retired aircraft carrier that is now a museum. It was unbelievably huge, and quite an experience exploring the labyrinth of the lower decks! On the main deck (4 acres!) they had about 20 old war planes...

Spencer explores a real cockpit...

The boys get debriefed on the next mission...

And somehow they all ended up in the brig! Maybe we should have left them there.
