A New Home!

No way! We finally bought a house? Must be a dream. It sure feels like it! After a year and a half of looking and a couple of failed attempts, it appears that we have really actually bought this one. We are so excited and so are the kids. We haven't actually moved in yet, but hopefully that will happen soon. Here are some pictures we took the day we closed.

Spelling Bee!

My camera must have been on the wrong setting, because I just noticed these pictures are blurry. Sorry! Anyway, we're proud of our super spellers! Both Cam and Aubree represented their classes in the school spelling bee. They both did awesome, and Aubree was in the top three so she was able to participate in the district spelling bee as well. She was really nervous but did great. She had 300 words memorized. I didn't even know what half of them meant! Aubree went through several rounds, but when they went "off the list" they gave her "bagel" and she misheard and thought they said "bakel" (not a real word, I just made it up, ha ha!). Anyway, she did a great job and we were proud of her.

March Birthdays

Adam and Aubree both had birthdays in March. We didn't have "friend parties" this year but had a good time doing family activities. Adam chose to go skating and bouncing at Classic Skating, and Aubree chose to attend a U of U gymnastics meet. We had a great time and are proud of what great kids they are!

Adam turned the big "8" and is excited to be getting baptized in a couple of weeks. He started scouts and his best friend is in his Wolf Den, so that is a lot of fun for him. He thinks Pack Meetings are the best and thinks they should have them every week.

The birthday gals always celebrate together! We can tell our kids are growing up now that they don't want fancy cakes, they just want chocolate. Wonder where they got their taste from?

Fun in the Snow

It seems like we have had more snow this winter than we have had in a long time. We have had storm after storm the last couple of weeks. But today we really had a dump. We spent the morning shoveling ourselves out, making a sledding hill off the front flower beds, and making Frosty the Snowman! Ben & Spence were so excited.

Merry Christmas!

Santa did manage to find our house through snow, sleet and whatever else was blowing around on Christmas Eve...we THOUGHT we saw Rudolph's nose up in the sky on the way home from Grammie's house, and sure enough, he ate the carrot we left out for him!

Christmas 2007

Our annual Christmas nativity and program at Grammie's house was extra fun and exciting with ALL the cousins together! We had a wonderful dinner and then the kids did the program and shared their talents. Trisch and Eric made a recording of the music which is sure to hit #1 on the billboard charts!

The shepherds and wise men are looking a bit mutinous...

Have you ever seen such an excited angel?

Gingerbread Houses

For family night this week we did our annual Christmas tradition of gingerbread houses. I only made one real one (I guess I'm getting old and tired)--but the kids were disappointed so I got out the good old graham crackers and they each made their own mini house. They thought that was the coolest! Just goes to show you don't have to kill yourself to please the young 'uns....
