EGG FIGHT

I guess it's just our weird family tradition to have egg fights with our Easter eggs, because nobody else I know does this! First you color the eggs....

Then you give your special egg a good name--I was sure my Egg-O-Death would be the winner this year!

Or, if you're patient enough, you make it very beautiful--like Daddy's hot-air-balloon-egg.

Then, you find a worthy opponent and crack the ends of your eggs together. Whichever egg does not crack, is the winner! The legendary final battle was between Cam's "Eggonator" and Ben's "Smanji Rocks" eggs....and Ben wins! His facial expressions give him a slight edge. Nobody can pull mean, egg-killer expressions quite like Ben. He really does rock!

Easter

Well, the Easter Bunny came and he hid the eggs pretty well this year...We had to help the big kids out and we still didn't find them all. They'll probably turn up sometime....Here's Ben & Spence with their cousins Brie and Amy getting ready for the little kid hunt!

Fun in the Sun

We took advantage of the long spring break to take a trip down to St. George and Zion. It was so relaxing and fun, we just didn't want to come back! In fact, when we pulled into our house after the trip, Spencer actually burst into tears and said, "I didn't want to come to this place!" It was so sad.

It was so fun to have cousins and grandmas and grandpas on this trip. The kids had a great time doing activities together.

We hiked, and hiked, and...hiked some more. The kids were awesome! What little troopers! Grandpa was Spencer's hiking buddy.

We were glad to have a chance to visit Great Grandma and Grandpa while we were down south. The kids always love making music downstairs with the drums and keyboards!

Raingutter Regatta

Adam's cub scout troop recently put on the "Raingutter Regatta" which we decided we liked better than the Pinewood Derby, mostly because the boat was easier to make! :-) Of course Adam wanted to show his U of U spirit so he painted his boat accordingly!

Adam huffed and puffed his way to second place. YAHOO! The look of intense concentration on the boys' faces was fun to watch.

Way to go Adam!!!!

Grammy's Birthday

Grammy was turning the big 6-0 this year so we had a special birthday party. We went to dinner at Tepanyaki and then we came back to our house for coconut cake and presents. We are very lucky to have such a fun, cute and just all-around-wonderful Grammy in our lives. We love you!

Grammy and Aubree have the very same birthday, so they always celebrate together!

Aubree's Birthday

Aubree's all about frogs these days, so she wanted froggy cupcakes for her birthday. She invited all her friends, and they ALL brought froggy presents. It was a very hoppy day for us! We had a pajama party. The girls had pizza, cupcakes and lots of treats and then they made slippers and watched a movie. They had a great time. This picture is a little creepy, don't you think?

Adam's Birthday

Adam and his friend Jensen had a super fun birthday! They decided to have a double party since their birthdays were within days of each other. So, they invited all their friends, and we took them to Classic Skating to bounce on the inflatables and play laser tag. Everybody had a great time, it just got over way too fast as we were informed by the boys when we were leaving!
